You'll Never See a Post Like This Again

Anyone who knows me know that I very much dislike Jennifer Lopez, and that's putting it nicely. However, I ran across an article on People about why she walked away from her marraige. This is what she had to say:

"Sometimes we don't realize that we are compromising ourselves. To understand that a person is not good for you, or that that person is not treating you in the right way, or that he is not doing the right thing for himself – if I stay, then I am not doing the right thing for me."

For anyone who has been in a relationship that compromises who you truly are, this is a strong sentiment. I've been in that place before and wish I would have been strong enough to look inside myself enough to know I was compromising who I was at the time. Somtimes you don't realize it until way too late. Good for J.Lo! (and that's the only nice thing I will ever say about her.)

I Love This Woman!

Bethenny Frankel is someone I have come to admire greatly! She is a strong woman who says what she feels and stands up for herself with no apologies for who she is.

Instead of reading A Place of Yes, I've gotten the book on CD so that I can listen on my many drives across the state I've been doing as of late! It's got an amazing message and many great points that every woman can benefit from. I'm mid-CD set at Rule #5 of 10: All Roads Lead to Rome. This rule basically states that everything that happens, whether good or bad, leads to the next thing and eventually no matter how bad one situation may be, it leads to a better road. I've experienced this to the extreme in the past year and will testify that this rule is completely true! Two of my favorite quotes from this section are: "Just when I thought I'd gone the wrong way or messed it all up beyond repair, something happened that made me see it was all for a reason," and "You just never know when a seemingly random decision will reset the course of your life."

Hole in none

I'm taking out my anger for Tiger Woods on those around me today, not intentionally but it happens. Really Tiger, really? You couldn't keep it in your pants long enough until you go home to your beautiful wife and two children?

I know we don't know celebrities and what their real character is, but he seemed like a legit family man.

I don't know how much I believe that there are any of those left. I'll stick to planning my future with my gays.

Push the limit. Are you with it? Baby, don't be afraid.

I didn't watch last season of American Idol, except for a few episodes. The few times I saw Adam Lambert perform I wanted to cut my ears off. He needs to be on Broadway performing, not in concert.

So last night the American Music Awards were on. I kept hearing all this hype about Adam Lambert's big performance coming up and they saved it for the finale of the show. I wondered how it'd be so great because he's just some American Idol alum. Aren't they always safe?

Ummm. . . COR-RECT-SHUN. Apparently not all American Idol alum are safe. Apparently some really do have a wild side and know how to step outside of the box. And apparently it's the fagulous ones.

GLAMbert shocked me. He wowed me. He enticed me. I still think his singing is horrible, but his performance was awesome. I absolutely love when it's not only about the singing, but it's also about the performance. Whether it's to prove a point or to shock people or to show you what the true meaning of the song is, I think it shows how much a singer cares about what they are doing when there is an actual SHOW being put on.

I thought it was hilarious and amazing at the same time that on NATIONAL TELEVISION Adam Lambert did the things he did. Yes, it was not family friendly, but ABC should have previewed it first to be sure there wouldn't be a problem.

I love performances that are over-the-top, shocking and exciting. That's the whole point of the entertainment industry, right? I agree it was daring and vulgar, but I also think it was brilliant.

GA GA OOH LA LA!

I can't get Lady GaGa's new song 'Bad Romance' out of my head. She's an absolute genious. After about a year of trying to dislike her, I finally gave in to the GaGa. She's amazing. So talented, so creative.

I used to absolutely hate her obvious antics at attention-seeking. Now I love them. I find them endearing.

Her hair bows. Her tea cups. Her bubble costumes. Her over-the-top outfits.

I just LOVE her! And she's such a gay icon which makes her even more fagulous!

Roomie is going to be GaGaLoo for Halloween and I can't wait to see pictures!

So true

"I dont get the press's perception of her as a desperate woman. She's been with every hot guy from Brad Pitt to John Mayer. She's not tragic, she's amazing."

- Kathy Griffin on Jennifer Aniston, to People magazine

Happy Birthday, LiLo!

Okay, even though I've quit my love of Lindsay, I still have to celebrate her birthday. I've included a picture of her actually looking healthy and non-haggard. Very pre-saMAN days.

Happy 23rd Birthday Lindsay Lohan!

Love,

Your former biggest fan

Goodbye for now, Miss Lohan

So as I troll the internets for my daily fix of celebrity gossip, I'm always looking for new LiLo photos... of course. But lately, she's been looking more of a haggard mess than usual. What is with her always biting her fingers in pictures? I think it's her trying to be Marilyn Monroe (LiLo's idol) - there are photos of MM doing that but in a much classier way. Lindsay needs to realize it's not cute, by any means. This latest one was posted on her Twitter and it just made me say, "ENOUGH!!"

Enough with SaMAN. Enough with the on and off partying. Enough with not showering. Enough with the nail biting to try to be cute.

I have to say, I think I'll be bow-ing out of my Lohan Love for a while. She just needs to get it together. It's becoming embarassing to love her.

PS- I do still planning on naming my future bulldog pup Lindsay Lohan (I'll call her LiLo for short, obvi).

Thank you Jamie Spears

With all of this insanity surrounding Michael Jackson's sudden death, it makes me extremely happy that Britney Spears finally got her shit together. Seriously. She was Anna Nicole in waiting and it's terrifying to think she was probably very close to a tragic death at one point.

Once again, praise Poppa Jamie Spears.

And R.I.P. Michael Jackson. This must be similari to what it was like when Elvis died. Such a tragic, sudden, shocking loss of a true legend. Of course he had his personal life issues that no one will ever know the real truth about, but he was an icon in the music industry and the reason for so much of the music and entertainment we have now.

Dear Chris Brown,

Shut the fuck up, you girlfriend-beating piece of trash. You deserve to never sell a single record again and have all of your money taken away from you and live on the streets and get the shit beat out of you daily.

Sincerely,

Someone-you-should-hope-to-never-run-into-because-as-Kathie-Griffin-would-say-I'll-cut-a-bitch

Birthday heels!

Reese Witherspoon wore these AMAZING pieces of heaven (Balenciaga, A Line Platform Pump) to a premiere for her new movie on her birthday! Such beauties should be worn on such occassions!

(And at the low price of $1,045, these babies cost less than my car accident! When I woke up last Tuesday I should have ordered these rather than going out and wrecking my car. Next time I'll keep that in mind.)

Oh, Kathie, Kathie, Kathie - you bad girl! She has definitely become my favorite tranny.

Intervention

Dear Lindsay Lohan,

Please quit that fug mess you call your girlfriend and go back to the days of jumping in bed with men. You were much prettier then.

Sincerely,

Your biggest fan

It's Britney, bitch

(While the above phrase is completely played out, it's hard not to use it when you're talking about the Queen!)

It all started at the age of 13. I remember in my YM magazine there was an ad for a CD by this girl who spelled Britney differently than I'd ever seen it before. I wondered in my head who she was and figured it was pretty lame that she had an ad in a magazine to promote her CD. (Seriously, I remember thinking all of this.) But it wasn't long until I heard "...Baby, One More Time" and it infected me. I needed more of this Britney Spears girl and I quickly bought the CD. Of course I could relate to every song, imagining my crush at the time while belting out "Born to Make You Happy" and "From the Bottom of My Broken Heart." So dramatic. I couldn't help but grooooove to "Soda Pop." I don't think you can call yourself a true fan until you've heard "E-mail My Heart" and still play the CD. I also loved all her videos. To this day, "Crazy" is one of my all time favorite videos; I always wanted that green top she wore in it.

Next came "Oops!..." and I was hooked. Britney Spears was on top of the world and that included my world. From her movie debut and all of her music, she was IT for me, because at the mature age of sixteen I related to her, as I, too, was "Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman."

The Dream Within a Dream tour was my first concert - one I'll never forget. The dancing, the outfits, the effects were all amazing.

Then came "In the Zone." My least favorite from the Britser. What was this "Touch of My Hand" and "Breathe On Me" nonsense? I loved the bubblegum, pigtail, pop music girl (as a sophomore in college I probably should have been over that phase) and she was becoming a Woman! I didn't like this. After that was the cancelled Onyx Hotel tour and the marraige to some bum and two kids popped out. Downward spiral, here we go. But, I still followed her, I still supported her - I never gave up.

Divorce came. I cheered! I knew she was totally going to be back to the days of a toned belly, catchy pop songs and brilliant dance moves. Those things didn't come though. Instead it was partying with Paris, showing off her Little Britney and clubbing the nights away. I remember when I first saw the photos of her shaved head - I panicked. Her meltdown wasn't in her comeback plans, in my mind.

Even throughout rehab, wigs, Osama Lutfi and Adnan, the crazy British accent, the fugg boots and stained clothing and the "Gimme More" MTV performance, I still supported her. I couldn't give up on my favorite female singer of all time.

Thankfully she slowly got her act together (Thank you Mr. Jamie Spears), and then came Circus. Ohhh myyyy gooooosh, what was this present to my ears? Every song, amazing. I could picture the dance moves and outfits for the videos. This was it, back on top!!!!

After weeks of reveling in the amazement of Circus, I was doing my daily celebrity stalking on Perez one morning and saw she was definitely going on tour. And coming HERE! Needless to say, tickets were bought ASAP. It seemed like the concert would never come and I was terrified that it'd be cancelled. But on March 8, she brought it hardcore and she was back. The show was Amazing. Life changing, one might say.

There are few people I have met that have the same passion for BritBrit like I do, and only they can understand it. Some sort of phenomenon I suppose. An infection that you can't get rid of.

I can't wait to see more from Britney and I know she'll be around forever, like Madonna but a million times better.

No, 34% of women are just that easy

I make it no secret that I'm a Paris Hilton fan. I don't really understand where all the negative press comes from against her. She gets paid to party, and she admits it. What is so wrong with that? Anyone in her shoes would take that job. What people don't seem to realize is that she is a character for the cameras and she does a great job at putting on a show. I see no shame in that and it obviously rakes in some serious cash.

On to my point - I just read an article about how 34% of women are likely to be intimate with a man within just 6 hours after meeting them. The person that did this study coins the findings as the Paris Hilton Effect. His reasoning is that "Hollywood and the media have really set the stage for this to be a reality. Every other image the average woman sees is of a major celebrity flashing their underwear or hanging on the arm of a different man every night." (http://news.yahoo.com/s/prweb/20090227/bs_prweb/prweb2191844)

I disagree. Why is it Paris' fault for these women being slutty? If 34% of women want to hop into bed with a man they barely know, it's because they are skanky and have no class, not because a celebrity is pictured with male friends.

The new LiLo?

Anyone who knows me know that I have a serious Lindsay Lohan obsession. My love for Lilo runs deep and I'll always be a huge fan. (However, I'm totally over this SamRo phase!!)

But lately I've developed a new adoration for another Hollywood gal. Anne Hathaway. I used to despise her (circa Princess Diary days), but after her big break-up and comeback from her con-artist boyfriend, I've developed a strong respect for her. I admire the way she carries herself and the strength she shows during what was such a humiliating time in her life. She's also become so glamorous in the recent years; always looking fabulous on the red carpets and in magazines. (I also like that she once defended Lindsay Lohan by saying she did all the same things when she was young, but since her life wasn't so publicized no one really knew. I love me an undercover party girl!!)

I'll be keeping and eye on Miss Hathaway and her future Hollywood adventures. Maybe a trip to rehab will come calling for her and then she'd be at the top of my list!!
